The situation

Miranda is the AVP of Marketing at a large financial institution. Highly ambitious, she was actively working toward a promotion to VP and led a team of 23 across four direct reports at Director level.

She came to Spellcast following a difficult period. Her 360 review had come back poorly. Internal team surveys flagged concerns from her direct reports. She had received a formal warning from her VP and from HR. She was, by any organizational measure, at risk.

The presenting problem, as described by her HR team and later by Miranda herself, was a breakdown in trust. What emerged through the early work was more specific than that: a cluster of interpersonal patterns that had been running on autopilot for years, patterns that had become visible to everyone around her before they were visible to her.

The work: five phases

Miranda and I worked together over six months. Every stage of the engagement followed the five phases of The Vestra Mindset Framework™, with the duration and intensity of each phase shaped by what Miranda was carrying and what the work required.
